How to add products, manage pricing, and handle Stripe integration

All products come from Stripe. Your website automatically fetches products and pricing from your Stripe account. The Products Admin page is optional and only needed for visual customization (icons, colors, regional settings).
Set Up Product in Stripe First
Always start by creating your product in Stripe. This is where you define pricing, subscriptions, and payment settings.
- Go to your Stripe Dashboard → Products
- Create a new product with name and description
- Add pricing plans (monthly, yearly, one-time)
- Set up trial periods if needed
- Copy the Product ID from Stripe

When to Use Products Admin (Optional)
Only use the Products Admin if you need to customize display settings beyond Stripe data.
- Add custom icons for products
- Set color themes and gradients
- Link Stripe products to database entries
- Mark products for specific regions (e.g., "Sri Lanka Only")
- Control homepage featured products
Note: Not required for basic product display! Your Stripe products work without this.
Test Payment Flow
Always test the complete checkout process before going live.
- Visit your Products page
- Click "Choose Plan" on your product
- Verify all pricing plans appear correctly
- Test checkout with Stripe test cards
- Confirm webhook receives payment events

Common Issues & Solutions
Products not showing?
Check that:
- Products are marked as Active in Stripe
- Products have at least one active price
- Your STRIPE_SECRET_KEY environment variable is set correctly
Pricing not displaying correctly?
Verify in Stripe that:
- Price intervals are set correctly (month, year, one_time)
- Prices are marked as Active
- Currency matches your expected format (e.g., NZD)
Payments not working?
Ensure:
- STRIPE_WEBHOOK_SECRET is configured
- Webhook endpoint is registered in Stripe
- Test with Stripe test cards before going live
